Steam in the Valley is returning to the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad in September for 2 weekends.
Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad says tickets will go on sale Tuesday, July 10th for steam excursions with the famed Fort Wayne, Ind.-based Berkshire. Excursions will operate over 2 weekends this fall, Sept. 22-23 and 29-30. Each day the engine will pull two 2-hour trips through scenic Cuyahoga Valley National Park from Independence to Akron. A members only preview excursion is set for Sept. 21. The railroad is offering coach, table, and dome classes of seating for between $25 and $65 per person.
Enjoy a two-hour round trip with the historic Nickel Plate Road steam locomotive no. 765 at the helm, one of the largest operating steam locomotives in the United States! Passengers will have the opportunity to deboard the train at a secure location for an exclusive photo opportunity.
