The Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum is hosting their 52nd Anniversary celebration, on September 7 & 8, 2013.  A ticket to TVRM Railfest includes
two days of live entertainment, train rides, equipment demonstrations, and many
children’s activities.  Festival food vendors will be present as well.

Trains will be running throughout each day, including the Missionary Ridge Local.
However, the main attraction will be mainline steam excursions from Chattanooga to Cleveland, TN behind Southern 2-8-0 steam locomotive #630. Two steam trips per day will operate during Railfest.

What is Railfest?  It is a great opportunity to visit the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum and see the railroad history which has been preserved over the last 52 years!  Trains will be running throughout each day: Missionary Ridge Local and other special excursions.  Special exhibits and displays highlight Railfest, making it a wonderful time to visit!

The price is right: Only slightly more than the standard trip rate!  Visit during Railfest and enjoy equipment not normally open for inspection, operating model railroads, magic shows, live music, train bounce, coloring pages, play tables, petting zoo, pony rides (slight additional charge), blacksmith demonstrations, and more.  Festival food vendors will be present to make sure you don’t go hungry!  Trains will be everywhere – both at TVRM and on the adjacent Norfolk Southern line.  Plenty to do and see!

The cost for general admission tickets is $20 per adult and $15 per child (ages
3-12 years). Each steam excursion is $25.00 per ticket in addition to the general
Railfest admission cost.

Check the TVRM website for specific trip times as well as additional event details, or call the TVRM Office at 423-894-8028.
