Empire Builder to pull Friends of the 261 July excursion

Ride Friends of the 261 Super Dome over 4th of July

This summer, the Friends of the 261 is offering a limited accommodation private
car trip to Whitefish, Montana, aboard some of the finest rail cars to travel the
rails.

Marvel at the beauty of America as your private rail cars travel through North Dakota and Montana. Enjoy freshly prepared meals in the full-length, glass enclosed Super Dome car. Enjoy the scenery and fresh air from the the open platform of railroad business car Lamberts Point as you sip on a cocktail.

The cars will operate on the rear of Amtrak’s famous “Empire Builder” while it travels across the plains and through the mountains of western America. Inaugurated in 1929, the “Empire Builder” has been in continuous operation under the auspices of the Great Northern,  Burlington Northern and Amtrak since its inception and is considered one of America’s best trains operating over an equally scenic and historic route.
Join the Friends of the 261 on July 2 – 7 for a five-night, six-day trip that includes
private accommodations on board the train for two nights, and three nights accommodations at the Grouse Mountain Lodge in Whitefish, Montana.
